Have you ever done something you’ve regretted, and spent the day feeling sad?
When that happens, here are four things to remember about God that will remind you how much you are loved: ❤
- God is merciful
- God is compassionate
- God is slow to anger
- God is filled with unfailing love!
“The Lord is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love.” —Psalm 145:8
Sometimes when I’m doubting God’s love, all I need to do is look into the eyes of one of my dogs. I’m certain that God uses them to remind us of His unfailing and unconditional love!
Everyone falls at times. Please don’t let shame or guilt keep you from drawing near to God in prayer. Ask God’s forgiveness if you know you’ve done wrong. You can also ask Him for courage, if you need to go to someone and ask forgiveness. Also, remember to forgive yourself. Don’t allow any darkness in your heart. Then leave you’re sadness and regrets at His feet.
Declare with me today;
You Lord are merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. Please forgive me for my sins, and cleanse me. Thank you for dying for my sins that I might live forgiven and free! I receive Your forgiveness now and leave any sadness, regret, or shame at Your feet. Thank you for loving me just as I am. And thank You for helping me to be more like You.
How do you see God?
Is God merciful and compassionate? Or is He stern in your eyes?
Do you imagine Him hiding behind every tree waiting to pop out with an “Ah ha, caught you doing wrong AGAIN!”
Do you feel like God’s love is conditional on how “good” you are?
Do you worry thinking, “How could God love someone like me, after all I’ve done?”
Always remember. . .
The Lord is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. —Psalm 145
