Being a mother doesn’t always mean being related to someone by blood. It means loving someone in an extra special way, unconditionally, with tender loving care, and joy in your heart.
That someone might be a person, or a pet. Just last week I met a dear old lady who reminded me of that fact. We were both sitting in the waiting room at the vet office chatting. She was cradling her beloved little dog in her arms. She said to me, “Ever since my husband died, she’s all I have. She’s my family. She’s my little girl.”
To her, and to everyone out there who loves their dogs, and considers them their kids, I’d like to send my heartfelt wishes for a fabulous week and Mother’s Day coming up this Sunday.
Know that you are very special, much appreciated, and dearly loved!
