Are You Weary, Carrying a Heavy Burden? (1-Minute Prayer Pause)

Beloved, when you feel weak and weary, and the burdens of life are weighing you down,

Come to Jesus. Talk to him. Lean on him.

When your emotions catch you off guard, and suddenly tears are streaming down your face,

Come to Jesus. Talk to him. Lean on him.

When you feel like you’ve got to hold it all together all the time, for family and friends,

Come to Jesus. Talk to him. Lean on him.

Jesus understands the load you are carrying, and is gently reminding you that he wants to help —

“Are you weary, carrying a heavy burden? Come to me. I will refresh your life, for I am your oasis. Simply join your life with mine. Learn my ways and you’ll discover that I’m gentle, humble, easy to please. You will find refreshment and rest in me. For all that I require of you will be pleasant and easy to bear.”—Jesus (Matthew 11:28-30)

“But He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’” – 2 Corinthians 12:9

Pawz and Pray

Dear God, when I feel weak and weary, and the load is too much to bear, remind me that you are big and strong, and I can come to you for help. Please refresh my soul, even now, as I lean on you in prayer. Amen.
