Sing to the Lord

Sing to the Lord

Feeling sad or discouraged?

Life doesn’t always feel good, and singing may be the last thing on your mind. But if you’re feeling sad or discouraged today, sing to God, for He is worthy. Singing takes your focus off your troubles and places it on God- the One who loves you, cares about you, and can meet your needs. Praise is powerful and can push back the darkness. God inhabits the praises of His people! (Psalm 22:3).

Loved ❤️

Jesus loves you, likes you, cherishes you, and died for you. . .

Let that truth seep deep into your soul. Meditate on God’s love, and let it transform your thoughts, feelings, and emotions from the inside out.

May you may know how wide, how long, how high, and how deep God’s love is for you today. And may you find strength in that love to face the challenges of the day ❤️

“And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.” – Ephesians 3:18-19

Video of my Poodle Learning “Through” [47 seconds]

My adorable standard poodle recently learned a new trick!

As a proud mama of course I had to share. He learned to go “through” my legs in just a few short sessions. As I was teaching my dog this trick Psalm 23:4 came to mind…

Sometimes we just need someone to look us in the face and tell us that everything will be okay . . .

“Peace is what I leave with you; it is my own peace that I give you. I do not give it as the world does. Do not be worried and upset; do not be afraid.” —John 14:27

It’s going to be okay, please don’t worry or be afraid. Talk to Jesus. He loves you. His peace is available to you ❤️

Live in the Moment [Dog Wisdom #1]

Dog Wisdom

If you aren’t in the moment, you are either looking forward to uncertainty, or back to pain and regret. —Jim Carrey

Dogs are some of my favorite teachers, imparting wisdom into my life in ways I never thought possible! One of the most cherished lessons I’ve learned from my dogs is to live in the moment. Dogs are masters of mindfulness. In other words, they are aware of their surroundings and what they are doing moment by moment . . . and I believe that they extract the fullest joy from each moment. I think this is what gives them their seemingly carefree spirit.

What is mindfulness? And what are the benefits? Continue reading “Live in the Moment [Dog Wisdom #1]”

Why Am I So Discouraged?

Why is my heart discouraged?

Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again–my Savior and my God! Psalm 43:5

Sometimes we just need a little word of encouragement to help us on our way. I pray this Bible verse and comforting image of my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel will be a ray of sunshine for your day. There’s just something so special about the loving gaze of my dogs. It’s as if God is speaking through them saying,
I love you dear child. I am with you. I will never leave you nor forsake you.
“I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” —Matthew 28:20
May hope, healing, and happiness be yours!
