My dogs sleep peacefully, because they know I am near, always watching over them. Do you know God is near you? Do you believe He is watching over you?
Feeling anxious and afraid?
There’s lots of places we can run when feeling troubled. We run to family and friends, to the mountains, or to snuggle with our beloved dogs and cats. All these are wonderful. But we must not forget to also run to God in prayer.
Sometimes you just need time away. Something deep within you is calling you to the quiet. When that happens, it’s important to listen . . .
As with anything in life, sometimes we just need a little time away to refresh our spirits, fill up, and figures things out. That said, I just wanted to send a little note to say that I will be taking some time away from blogging, and to share why.
Right outside my door sits this beautiful flower pot overflowing with purple petunias. Just a simple reminder that I’m surrounded by blessings!
Today I was looking at it and thinking how awesome the color purple is! “Majesty” is the word that comes to mind when I see purple. Purple is royal, stately, it bears a quality of grandeur. It makes me think of Jesus – the King of Kings and Lord of Lords!
I think if the flowers could sing, they’d be singing praises to King Jesus, our beloved Lord and Savior—
“Yours, LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, LORD, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all.” 1 Chronicles 29:11

Nature is calling, are you listening?
You’ve been in your computer all week, glued to your desk or smart phone, or sitting in board meetings from sun up to sun down. You’re feeling a bit stressed, anxious, overwhelmed, and a little “blue.” Could it be that you’re nature deprived?
Nature is all around us, calling us to come out and unwind. Yet we rarely find time to walk in it or sit and gaze at its wonders. Continue reading “Are You Nature Deprived?”
