“The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein, for he has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the rivers.” Psalm 24:1-2
Do you have a dream?
Watching my dogs chase a ball with such determination, drive, and force inspires me to
chase my dreams,
and never give up!
A prayer by Ralph Waldo Emerson
For flowers that bloom about our feet,
Father, we thank Thee.
For tender grass so fresh, so sweet,
Father, we thank Thee.
For the song of bird and hum of bee,
For all things fair we hear or see,
Father in heaven, we thank Thee. Continue reading “Father, We Thank Thee”
When I’m feeling blue, my dogs motivate me to get out and walk. And when I do, I always gain fresh perspective and feel happier!
Life is tough, and more often than not we find ourselves sitting inside lamenting our problems in the dark rather than getting outside and letting nature and sunshine help us heal.
Personally, I think dog owners have an amazing advantage in this area. Dogs need their daily walks or playtime outside. What better motivator to lay aside our problems and get outside and hang out with our furry friends!
If you’re feeling sad or troubled in heart, I’d like to encourage you to get your walking shoes on, and get outside. Let your dogs lead you to beautiful places where nature soothes the weary soul and vibrant colors ignite feelings of hope. Breath in the fresh air and exhale any worry and fear. See God in creation, be encouraged, and give thanks.
There are countless amazing benefits to walking your dog. These are just a few I’ve found personally helpful.

Nature is calling, are you listening?
You’ve been in your computer all week, glued to your desk or smart phone, or sitting in board meetings from sun up to sun down. You’re feeling a bit stressed, anxious, overwhelmed, and a little “blue.” Could it be that you’re nature deprived?
Nature is all around us, calling us to come out and unwind. Yet we rarely find time to walk in it or sit and gaze at its wonders. Continue reading “Are You Nature Deprived?”
