Dog Tired?

My dogs are constantly taking time to nap. Usually they curl up on the sofa or in their bed. But sometimes they zonk out in the funniest positions or places! It’s not because they’re bored. They have a zillion toys, each other, our family to interact and play with, and a large yard to run, watch squirrels and birds…
but they instinctively know when it’s time to rest, and they listen.
Are we listening to our bodies? Do we know when it’s time to rest? Or are we running ourselves ragged?

Dear God, Help Me Live in the Moment

Dogs are some of my favorite teachers, imparting wisdom in ways I never thought possible! One of the most cherished lessons I’ve learned from my dogs is to live in the moment. Dogs are masters of mindfulness. In other words, they are aware of their surroundings and what they are doing moment by moment. I believe this is what gives them their carefree spirit. If only we could follow their example more often, we’d be less likely to look forward with uncertainty, or back with regret and pain.
