Fun Facts About our Furry Friends #3 [Dogs Reduce Stress]

Dogs can reduce stress

Being with a dog can reduce stress!

“It is the intuitive power of animals that can help us heal hurts, lessen stress, feel needed, and express our caring side.”  Marty Becker, DVM
That’s me in the photo, getting my daily dose of stress relief courtesy of my dogs . . .
In a world filled with stressful events, I’m so thankful that I can come home to my dogs—my little miracles with healing paws!
If you’re feeling stressed today, and happen to own a dog (or know someone who does), take some time to hold, hug, and soak in their love.
Research shows that being with a dog can reduce stress and lower blood pressure. And the best part is that being with our dogs doesn’t have the side effects, like most medicines do . . . although I must warn you, you may become addicted to them and come away with some fur on your clothes 🙂
“A pet is a medication without side effects that has so many benefits.  I can’t always explain it myself, but for years now I’ve seen how instances of having a pet is like an effective drug. It really does help people.” —Dr. Edward Creagan Oncologist at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN
Enjoy the cuddles, feel the love, say goodbye to stress, and have a beautiful day dear friends!
